Week 44

On Saturday, we had a soccer activity, as we are trying to get the youth to come. Well, Isaac came. He is short, but has been in marine training for a while. That dude hits like a tank, but sucks at soccer. So basically whenever he had the ball, everyone just got out of his way and let him mess up, or, in old timer terms, shoot scud missiles twenty feet above the goal. Was hilarious. He absolutely leveled a guy, and it was awesome. Fun times. And it was even funnier because he has zero technical skill, as in he doesn’t know how to dribble or do anything, and his dribbles are always way too hard, so we kind of just let him do his own thing until he turns it over. And then he just brags that he doesn’t play soccer and he is so good. And we just say ok and keep playing. It’s a little weird.

Today, my comp was destroying a wall in a house for service, while I was busy stupidvising. Well, I went to go get a drink of water, and then I hear the owner (an old lady) start screaming for me. What happened? My comp, while destroying the wall with a sledgehammer, got tired, got lazy, and his hand slipped off and his hand slammed into an edge of the wall, thus making a deep and big cut on his index finger. When I went and looked, his hands were covered in blood. So then he put salt and gasoline on it. Why? He is not a smart man, must have hurt a ton. But was interesting to watch his face turn to horror at the pain he was experiencing.

Have a great week,
