Dreams

So, not bragging, because I don’t think I teach super well. But we have DVDs called The District, where it’s a "picture perfect" Mormon missionaries teaching, and all that. Well, my companion told me that I am probably the best teacher he has been with, and I should make one of those videos. Jaja.

Well, my zone is doing awesome. The goal for the week is always 100 contacts, and we have nine companionships in our zone. Well, this week, we did, as a zone, 1204 contacts, which is super awesome. So I am going to be making them cake and they will be able to throw water balloons at me, jaja.

This week was really awesome, because we worked a ton with less actives that no one visits. No one does their visits. Nobody. The bishop talks about it, but doesn’t do anything. So we are visiting a ton of people, and a lot of them came on Sunday. And not only that, a few brought friends to church so that we could meet them and teach them. It was awesome. We taught an investigator who received her response in a dream, because she asked God to give her a response to whether she should be baptized or not. Well, in the dream, she was in an out of body experience, and saw Jesus, and Jesus told her to not be afraid, and that she will be ok. The only problem with her baptism is that she lives on a super high hill far away, but we will get her to church. We also are teaching a lot of people that live with members, and there is a house full of kids that are going to church, and they are helping their cousin become ready to get baptized, it’s pretty awesome.

Motivation

Everything is going really good, the zone is really excited to work. We put a bet on for this week, because our zone was not doing a lot of contacts, and that is a huge focus for the mission right now. So we put a bet, that is everyone in the zone did 100 contacts, I would make brownies. Welp, they did it, and today I made them all brownies. And this week is the same, but if they do it, I make them a cake and they get to throw water balloons at me and my companion. It’s really awesome, because if they do the contacts, then they are guaranteed success. Especially this week, because it was consejos de mision, interviews with president, and zone meetings and a zone service. And they still did the 100. So the next week we are going to raise it up to 1000. We are going to try to be the zone with the highest amount of contacts, and it would be awesome, because all of the other zones have 20 missionaries, and we only have 18, and we are all in the suburbs, so it is really hard, because everyone is at work.
So the week was good.  J

Last Conference in the Mission Field

We have reached the point of Lloyd's mission where he is starting to have  lasts.  This was his last time he will watch General Conference as a missionary.  We got his travel arrangements this past week and he will be  returning home June 23.  The countdown begins!

Conference was awesome, but it was my last one. I am getting scared, everyone is saying I am going to be great at home and be a bishop or something. I will just stay single forever, never get a calling!! I went on divisiones yesterday, it was awesome, went to my old area, with a family that is progressing supperrrr slowly, so i went there. And we taught a huge lesson about prayer, and then when we wrapped up, boom. I told the wife to pray, because she was having trouble asking specifically if this was the right church. so i told her, in the closing prayer, to ask if this was the true church. So she starts praying, and says "God" and boom, just starting bawling, and asked if it was true. After the prayer continued to cry, and we pray holding hands with this family, and she wouldn't let go. and then the husband prayed, asking if it was true. And after the prayer, I asked her how she felt, and she just said "your church is true..." and continued to cry, and the husband said that he felt a huge sense of peace when he was asking, it was awesome.
